Welp, my name is Thomas Luther Bryan but everyone calls me Luke. If you don't know me, thats fine this will be a little get to know you session. I was born in Georgia on July 17th 1976, yes I'm about to hit my mid 30's. Its not as scary as you'd think but I have hit a few life changing pot holes in my time on this road.
My parents, God Bless them, have been a strong force behind me and since the age of 14 I have been going non-stop trying to fulfill my dreams but life isn't always as great as you'd think. I floated through school. I wasn't any worse than any other kid, my brother Chris and I were about thick as thieves and he was the biggest supporter of me living my dream. I was going to pack my truck up, kiss my mama goodbye and set off on the dusty trail to Nashville right after I graduated high school. Life and its curve balls not only crushed my dreams but broke my heart and spirit. The day I planned to leave, my brother died. Now they say that God only gives you as much as you can handle and with that said, there was no way I could leave my family. It felt like nothing was going to get better. There was big grey cloud that followed me and anyone who says that it gets better with time was wrong. It gets easier to deal with but you never "get better" or "get over it." he's with me everyday and I know now that things had to happen to get me where I am.
After Chris passed away I decided to put music on hold to a certain extent. I figured college was the best route for me and boy did it bring me not only good times but I met someone who would change my life. While attending Georgia Southern University, I met a beautiful blond named Caroline. She was a pistol. In all honesty she was the love of my life. Without her I don't think that I would have gotten through some of the tough times. We graduated and she gave me the courage to start recording. I did an EP which I sold myself and then I started writing. We got married and I thought that was the happiest day of my life but little did I know that I would get hired on to be a writer for Capitol Records and have a few hits. I got signed and what do ya know? Caroline got pregnant. Mind you all of this isn't in order I'm just kind of rushing to talk about kids. Yes, I come with two little monsters. My oldest son was born on December 6th his name is Thomas Boyer Bryan but we just call him Bo. Before our divorce, Caroline gave birth to our second son Tatum Christopher Bryan, he's just a little guy he was born in August of this year. Divorce isn't an easy thing but when you can be civil about it and kids are involved you want to make sure that you have the same goals in mind. I just want my boys to grow up to be good men and in spite of our issues, Caroline is on the same path. I'll spare you the details of why things went south.
Musically, right now my single is "Someone else calling you baby" and I'm going to be starting work on a new album right quick. I'm going to be heading out on tour with Rascal Flatts, those guys have been so great and I can't thank them enough for this opportunity. Like many artist I have my webisodes on youtube...LBTV if you want a good laugh. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled, with award season coming up, you'll be seeing way too much of me. Oh and I'm head over heels in love with Jessica Simpson. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
